Porto do Molle Sports Park

The project emerges from the landscape of Nigrán itself: the gentle slope of the valley, the sequence of mountains, and the distant presence of the Atlantic Ocean. From this geography, the intervention is defined through a simple yet powerful gesture, a horizontal line that extends the terrain and transforms sport into a way of inhabiting and contemplating the landscape. The elevated platform opens toward the horizon, creating a new public space deeply connected to nature.

Beneath this inhabited plane, the architecture becomes part of the earth through a stone base built with local materials. Stone and timber shape a calm and timeless architecture where light, shadow, and vegetation create welcoming spaces for gathering, rest, and sporting activity. The green roof continues the natural slope, reinforcing the idea of the park as an extension of the landscape itself.

The complex is conceived as a continuous, accessible, and inclusive route that connects facilities, pathways, and nature. More than a sports venue, the project offers an open experience for everyone, a place where movement, landscape, and public life coexist naturally. A space designed for walking, meeting, exercising, and rediscovering the territory from a new perspective.

From afar, the park appears as a horizontal gesture in dialogue with the valley; up close, it reveals an architecture that merges with the landscape and embraces everyday life through a silent and essential trace.
