Pego Municipal Theatre
The proposal transforms the Pego Theatre into a cultural beacon open to the city. The building integrates seamlessly with the plaza and its urban surroundings, creating a space where public life and culture meet, intersect, and expand. Every corner invites discovery, from the flexible auditorium to the open courtyards, where design and nature come together to create a warm, vibrant atmosphere.
The theatre is conceived as a dynamic and adaptable space. The main hall, with its carefully designed acoustics, transforms according to the occasion, hosting everything from theatrical performances to concerts and workshops. The bioclimatic courtyard, the heart of the project, serves as a gathering place and open-air stage, blending light, shade, and natural ventilation to offer comfort and a sensory experience with every visit.
Sustainability informs every decision, local materials, a green roof, passive ventilation, and renewable energy make the building a model of energy efficiency and environmental respect. Architecture here becomes an act of responsibility and beauty, with each space designed to endure and adapt to the future without losing its identity.
The theatre is more than a building, it is a place to experience culture, foster creativity, and connect the community. Its design aims to inspire, surprise, and welcome, offering unique experiences that invite visitors to return, explore, and participate. A space where architecture, nature, and the city come together in harmony, and where culture is felt in every step.
